Overview
Installation of the Barnes 4X4 Pritchett Canyon Rear Bumper on the TJ. High-clearance design for better protection and departure angle.
Tools Needed
- • 1/2" drive socket set & ratchet
- • Torque wrench (ft-lbs)
- • Pry bars / trim removal tools
- • Drill + bits
- • Jack & stands
Materials Used
- • Barnes 4X4 Pritchett Canyon Rear Bumper (TJ/LJ/YJ)
- • Hardware kit (bolts, nuts, washers)

Approximately 2-3 hours.
Installation Steps

Remove Old Bumper
Jack up the rear, support the frame, and remove the old bumper bolts. Label hardware for reuse.

Prep the Frame
Clean mounting points, inspect for rust, apply seam sealer where needed.

Install New Barnes 4X4 Bumper
Position the Pritchett Canyon bumper, hand-tighten bolts, torque to spec in a crisscross pattern.
04
Final Test
Check torque on all hardware and take it for a short drive to verify clearance and fitment.
Results
The rear is now protected with the high-clearance Pritchett Canyon bumper.
